Why not enjoy and spend a time worth while by going bowling with children with Down Syndrome?
It was Friday, November 9, 2012, when the event took place at the bowling alley in Plaza Angsana. Our purpose there was to help the kids with Down Syndrome to enjoy bowling! Just over 15 members of VOLTAGE Society (Volunteer To Aspire Generation) were present at the lively venue.
Everyone came with a smile on their faces, wanting to make the children’s day special. Despite the fact that the objective was to help the kids with Down syndrome, everyone including the volunteers had a great fun and enjoyable time. Some children were having a hard time to hold the bowling ball, well... the same goes for some of the volunteers.
We were there to help them handle the bowling ball and make sure they do not give up. Although 2 hours sounds like a short time to bowl, from the children’s expression it was obvious that they had a great time. In addition, at the end of the session, the kids told us to come back in the future to bowl with them! It was all in all a success for the VOLTAGE Society.
